Keep — Cloud DNS Filtering for Home Networks

Effective Date: April 1, 2026  |  Last Updated: April 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Keep, a cloud DNS filtering service operated by Keep ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Keep.

1. The Service

Keep provides DNS filtering: when your devices make DNS requests, those requests pass through Keep's servers where we apply your filtering preferences. Keep operates as a DNS resolver — we do not inspect, intercept, or store the content of your internet traffic beyond the domain names being queried.

Free tier users contribute anonymized DNS threat signals to improve threat detection across the Keep network. These signals contain no personally identifiable information and cannot be traced to individual households. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The service is provided "as is" without guaranteed uptime or completeness of filtering. DNS filtering is probabilistic — no blocklist is exhaustive, and some requests may be incorrectly allowed or blocked.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without authorization. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use Keep only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the service to facilitate illegal activity
  • Attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the DNS filtering infrastructure
  • Abuse the service in a way that degrades performance for other users (e.g., automated query flooding)
  • Use the service to bypass filtering controls you have configured for others (e.g., family profiles you manage)
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data

4. Data and Privacy

Your use of Keep is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using Keep, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

Keep and its software, infrastructure, blocklists, and dashboard interface are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any custom rules, lists, or configurations you create within your account.

6. Disclaimers

Keep is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure
  • All harmful, unwanted, or malicious domains will be blocked
  • Filtering will not incorrectly block legitimate domains
  • The service is a substitute for comprehensive network security

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Keep and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to damages resulting from:

  • Malware, phishing, or other threats that were not blocked by the service
  • Legitimate domains incorrectly blocked by filtering
  • Service outages or degraded performance
  • Loss of data stored in your account

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Upon deletion, your data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on severity. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you unless prohibited from doing so.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use of Keep after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
